SINOHYDRO awarded a contract for road in Bolivia

 SINOHYDRO on December 3, signed a contract to design and build the middle section of the road “ El Sillar”, a 28-km freeway between Cochabamba the fourth largest city in Bolivia and Santa Cruz the most important business center in Bolivia. The contract worth USD 426 million relates to the widening and upgrading of the existing road NR 4 to a two-ways 4-lane roadway, including a number of engineering structures as the  construction of four  bridges and two tube-tunnels. The works are expected to last 2340 days. The chairman of Administratora Boliviana de Carreteras, Mr Antonio Mullisaca, declared the new road will help accelerate the State’s economic growth by  reducing travel time and lowering  operating costs. Mr Du Chun, Vice president of PowerChina International appreciated greatly the Administratora Boliviana de Carreteras for their collaboration and trust for the company. He recorded SINOHYDRO has already four projects in construction in Bolivia, including the Hydropower Station of San Jose for a total of USD 720 million. Both authorities have witnessed this great undertaking for the country”.
