SINOHYDRO won subway projects in Singapore

On July 25th 2014, Sinohydro Corporation Ltd. (Singapore Branch)-SembCorp Design and Construction Pte Ltd Joint Venture won the CONTRACT T227 CONSTRUCTION OF MARINA SOUTH STATION AND TUNNELS FOR THOMSON LINE. The project is part of the Singapore MRT Thomson subway line project, of which the main work includes construction of an underground station, the shield and open cut tunnels.
SINOHYDRO and a local company called SembCorp have formed a Joint Venture to implement the project which is due to complete within 77 months according to the contract.
T227 project is the second subway project SINOHYDRO has been awarded in Singapore. Last November, the company had signed the T217 project which was also a part of the Singapore MRT Thomson subway line project.
Singapore MRT Thomson subway line length 30 km is expected to put into operation by the end of 2020. After the project is completed, it will be the major rail line connecting northern Woodlands region, the southern commercial center (CBD) and Marina Bay’s.
As SINOHYDRO’s T217 and T227 projects of Singapore MRT Thomson subway line are under construction, the company has been extending its overseas market with solid aims of building a sustainable future.
