On May 28, 2011, SINOHYDRO’s contracted Kohpuos Bridge in Cambodia was successfully connected on both sides, delivering a smooth project completion on June 30, 2011. As soon as he received the bridge closure news, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen happily expressed his intention to attend the upcoming completion ceremony.

Kohpuos Bridge Project was a turn-key project and SINOHYDRO’s largest overseas bridge project undertaken to date. The bridge spans the strait between the mainland of Cambodia and the Kohpuos island and is an important infrastructure work for Sihanoukville City. Although the press-stressed concrete frame structure is a mature technology, the bridge’s 200+ meter span made it a challenging task.

SINOHYDRO’s superior performance on this project was highly commended by the project developer and local authorities.
