On June 6, 2011, SINOHYDRO and the Road Development Authority of Mauritius signed the Quartier Militaire Road Upgrading Project.
 
The USD 30 million project is being financed by World Bank. It is located in the central part of the country. The main work includes upgrading the existing 7.5 km bitumen trunk road, constructing 4.6 km of new tributary road, five traffic islands and a concrete bridge. The construction process will last 18 months.
 
This is SINOHYDRO’s first project in Mauritius, and the implementation process will surely bear great significance for the company’s future development in this market.
